Data is our thing – it always has been! We have worked with a number of research agencies, field agencies and end-clients alike in order to get “clients” to a point where their data is accurate, credible and usable. Our philosophy is “100% data confidence when you really need it” and we strongly believe all projects must have a confident data foundation.

We have, in more recent times, worked extensively in the African marketplace. Through our experiences, having specialised for many years in quality control of worldwide survey data, we are aware of the challenges and issues surrounding research project management.  To combat this, we are migrating from a data processing core to a full service research agency. A large focus will be on projects commissioned in Africa but we are also offering more research services on an international basis.

We’re adding two new services to our portfolio. These being:

  • research field management; specifically focussing on managing fieldwork operations in East African countries including Kenya and Ethiopia.
  •  developing data visualisation solutions, concentrating on Tableau and bespoke customised systems.

Quality matters. That’s a no-brainer. With this in mind, we find the traditional procedure is often flawed, frequently resulting in bumps along the road and a lack of consistency from where the data has been passed along from person to person. What we aim to do at SwissPeaks is cut out this irregularity, while making quality control an integral factor and proposing a more proactive approach to data solutions.

We want to internalise the traditional market research paradigm in order to achieve cleaner and more reliable output for our clients. Our goal this year is to use the expertise we’ve accrued in our several ad hoc projects and become a full service research agency.  This is almost second nature for us, having worked with countless research agencies and field management experts in all aspects of the market research chain, from the questionnaire build all the way through to the quality control and data visualisation.

We want to offer our clients credible and reliable data that is well presented, cost effective, time efficient and WITHOUT compromising on quality. Our vision is to remodel the quality control phase into a front-end concern, ensuring that credibility is centralised throughout the whole process. By becoming a full-service research agency, we can then trim the fat that builds up with the outsourcing method, thus potentially reducing output turnaround post-field from 4-8 weeks to 4-8 days.

An outstanding obstacle for current research agencies operating in the developing market is that it can be difficult for them to find reliable local partners to outsource the field work to. It is at this point where issues of credibility and fluidity rise. To combat this, we are creating a local division of SwissPeaks in Nairobi, Kenya. This way we can ensure fieldwork is carried out both accurately and efficiently.
