Radio Liberty Newsline Internet survey
SwissPeaks were commissioned to conduct an internet survey on behalf of a
collaborated project between Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), Prague
and Intermedia Survey Institute, Washington DC. A newsletter called ‘Newsline’
is circulated via e-mail periodically to subscribers informing them about local
and regional news items. The internet survey was proposed to obtain subscriber
opinion relating to newsletter content and design.
Methodology
A questionnaire provided to SwissPeaks via the research team at InterMedia
Survey Institute was scripted and hosted using Bellview WEB; Pulse Train’s
advanced software for conducting online research. SwissPeaks were responsible
for scripting and management of the fieldwork operation.
The fieldwork period ran for 6 weeks during the summer of 2006, and
approximately 650 complete interviews were collected via the internet survey.
Upon completion of the survey SwissPeaks produced final topline reports, and
prepared data for end user analysis in Pulsar (Pulse Train) and SPSS Base (SPSS
Inc.).
We also delivered a formatted verbatim report from which codeframes were
prepared. With the capability of SwissPeaks in-house coding database all
verbatim responses were mass coded, and relevant reports were delivered in a
timely manner.
This was one of the first international projects SwissPeaks had conducted and,
we were 100% successful in ensuring that all subscribers were invited, all field
operations ran were managed efficiently and for delivering accurate and timely
final analyses – the key attribute of our company.
